Best Value

Wharram's Jewellery is committed to helping you attain the "Best Value" when shopping for your diamond engagement ring.

In order to get the best value, first determine your price range, then carefully evaluate the 4C's: Carat weight, Colour, Clarity, and Cut.

Sacrificing colour, clarity, or cut to get the largest carat weight may not result in the best value. For instance, a larger diamond that is cut poorly is not nearly as beautiful as a smaller diamond that has been cut to ideal proportions by a skilled diamond artisan. Neither is a large diamond that appears yellowish with obvious inclusions as beautiful as a smaller diamond that is near colourless with minor inclusions.

The three most common approaches to selecting diamonds are:
- Maximum size: when the goal is the largest diamond your budget can buy regardless of quality
- Maximum quality: when quality is perimount, even if this requires a smaller gem to meet the budget
- Middle road: when a balance of budget, quality and size is attained. This is where the majority of engageables find themselves.

This initially seems like an insurmountable task; however, the professionals at Wharram's Jewellery are trained to assist you and help make the process enjoyable.
